Back on November 19th, 2005, we told you about a (then) recently unearthed recording of a concert that Syd Barrett participated in back on January 27th, 1972.
The band - The Last-Minute Put-Together Boogie Band - included Jack Monck on bass, Twink on drums, and Fred Frith on guitar. Their set that night consisted of 5 blues songs before Syd comes on stage for a long jam ("Number Nine") followed by 3 blues songs/improvs ("Gotta Be A Reason", "Let's Roll" and "Sweet Little Angel").
Up for auction on eBay currently is the incredibly rare poster for the event (see right; click thumbnail to enlarge). To our knowledge, the poster has not been seen in public since it was on display in Cambridge in early 1972, and is bound to be of interest to serious Barrett collectors, as well as fans of the headliners Pink Fairies and Hawkwind. (Thanks to Clayton Everett for the info)
