The Pink Floyd soundtracked, Barbet Schroeder directed movie "More", finally gets a DVD release in the USA next month. Released on April 5th, the movie, originally released in 1969, features a good number of alternate versions of songs from the "More" album, alongside unreleased songs such as "Seabirds".
The DVD, released by Home Vision Entertainment, features an anamorphic widescreen transfer, along with the original theatrical trailer, liner notes, and subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The film follows the story of Stefan, who encounters Estelle, an American expat and heroin addict. They go to Ibiza, where they encounter the Mediterranean island's leading drug dealer, and things spiral out of control.
Whilst opinions are mixed about the movie, at least you get to hear Pink Floyd's music clearly, and with the unreleased songs and alternate versions, it makes for entertaining and interesting viewing.
The DVD can be ordered now through Amazon.com or Amazon Canada, for delivery when it is released in less than a month.
Our thanks to Mick Wencil, and the people at Home Vision Entertainment for their help.
