Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1987WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

A very happy 2025 to you all - and let's hope that there's some interesting Pink Floyd-related activity on the horizon. This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, has now been released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates were announced, and these have thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA - see all the confirmed and now completed David Gilmour concert dates here. We're eager for your views on each of the shows, and really welcome comments, reviews, pictures or anything else you'd be willing to share with the Floyd community - [email protected] is the address to use - thank you!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue. Don't forget that there's the live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Finally, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

HOW TO HELP THE SITE: If you want to contribute anything - such as concert reviews, articles or pictures - we'd love to hear from you; please email us.

Pink Floyd PULSE DVD - another release delay Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Thursday, 05 January 2006

Back in November 2005, we brought you a slight date shift for the long-awaited, and much delayed, 2DVD release of Pink Floyd's PULSE; today we spoke with EMI, where we received another update on the release date. It's not good news, with the release date having moved yet again!

Pink Floyd PULSE DVD
Pink Floyd's PULSE
coming on DVD...soon?
The worldwide release had been moved to hit the stores on/around 16th January 2006. However, there have been further, undisclosed delays which mean that this DVD has been put back again, and no date is currently available.

It is possible that it might appear in March/April, but indeed, could turn out to be later in the year.

Please don't email us for updates on this, or to ask why the DVD has been delayed, or for us to forward (in some cases) abusive emails to EMI or the Floyd's management. ALL WE KNOW to date is shown here, and any additional information that comes through will be added to the site promptly.

We are also aware that Amazon have been showing the release date as 2010. We believe that this is just a default, "dummy" date that Amazon use for items which will be coming out, but where the actual date is unconfirmed/in a state of flux. It has confused or worried a number of you, judging by our bulging email inbox!

Check out our previous news item from 21st October which gives the confirmed information on tracklisting, screen resolution, and so on.

PULSE can be ordered, with a discount, through the following special links, for delivery when it finally gets released: Amazon US/International, Canada, UK/Europe, France, or Germany. Any item bought through these links at Amazon (not just Floyd items) helps with the running costs of the site, and we really appreciate it.
