Record Collector, the long-running UK magazine for all of us afflicted with a serious weakness for music, has printed some Floyd news in its February issue. Presumably with press deadlines as they are, they state that DSOTM is coming out on DVD-A (we now know it is SACD). They also state that the Knebworth 1990 DVD (reviewed on this site) has been delayed to the spring (around April time) and won't be out on the Eagle Vision label. That's strange as it is out, and is on Eagle Vision!
The most interesting news they include relates to Live At Pompeii on DVD. They state that it includes newly restored in-concert footage as well as an unedited studio run-through of DSOTM and pre-performance scenes! As the full details of this "Directors Cut" of Pompeii have not been released yet, this information cannot be confirmed. However, if it is true, then this release will be phenomenal!
