The music of Pink Floyd is to be performed by a full classical orchestra at the Klara Festival, which will be held in September, in Brussels, Belgium.
The Hermes Ensemble will be performing "A Saucerful Of Secrets" and "Atom Heart Mother", accompanied by suitable visuals, and conducted by Koen Kessels. The organisers said "the music of Pink Floyd at the first Klara Festival: that seems to be a cultural shock, but actually, in albums like Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother, Pink Floyd proved to be pioneers of symphonic rock'n'roll".
The Pink Floyd Project, as the event is being labelled, will be performed at the Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels on the 9th September, and is part of the festival organised by Radio Klara, a classical music radio station in Belgium, between September 7th and 22nd. Tickets are now on sale at 25, 15 and 10 Euros. More details can be found on the performance's webpage, and details of the festival are at KlaraFestival.be.
