Pink Floyd in Q Magazine Special Print E-mail

Long running and well respected glossy music magazine, Q, has published the first of a three part special called "50 Years Of Rock'n'Roll".

Hitting the UK shop shelves on January 23rd, here's Q Magazine's description of it: "Happy Birthday Rock'N'Roll! January 2004 and rock'n'roll is officially 50 years old. Raise a glass then, as Q celebrates five decades with a three-part special edition, exploring the amazing stories and greatest music by the most exciting artists of all time. Part One, [salutes] the '50s and '60s and [stars] The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Who, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and many more."

The piece on Pink Floyd starts with a lovely full-colour, double page picture of Syd on stage at the UFO, with the headline "The Chemical Brother". The article concentrates on Syd's downfall, in a well-written and interesting article by Mark Paytress, who has penned some great Floyd pieces in the likes of Record Collector magazine in the past.

Parts two and three will be following soon, but as yet we don't know what Floyd content they have. If your normal magazine retailer carries Q, you should be able to pick up this special, or alternatively, you can order online here.
