Today, January 9th, is the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) between North and South Sudan. In 365 days a referendum is due to be held to determine the future of Sudan. But, there is a real danger that war will return. To mark this, a series of events are being held in 15 countries calling on world leaders to do more to avoid a return to civil war.
Amongst the activities to help draw attention to the event is a video that has just been released featuring a range of musicians - including Nick Mason, representing Pink Floyd, Radiohead's Philip Selway, Elbow's Richard Jupp, Caroline Corr, Evelyn Glennie, Stewart Copeland and a wide range of musicians from various countries - all coming together to drum for peace.
