We now have details, including the new cover picture, of the paperback edition of Nick Mason's excellent book, "Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd".
To be released on October 6th (the same date as the audiobook), it is designed to be less of a coffee table extravaganza, and more of a conventional book that you can read on the bus or wherever! The book will be a smaller size, although still clocking in at 320 pages. Nick recently mentioned the edition in an interview, where he said that it would contain a lot fewer pictures.
With a reduction of size and, to a degree, content, comes a smaller price - the recommended retail is a third of the hardback that is currently available. It is being published by Phoenix, a division of Orion Books.
The revised cover, shown to the right, is subtle and quite low-key. It is nice to see two of the band's biggest albums being acknowledged on the cover (Wall script upon a stylised Animals cover) although a shame not to see another intriguing Storm Thorgerson creation to ponder over!
Advance orders are being taken now by Amazon UK and Amazon Germany, and other countries should
be offering it soon as well.
