Nick Mason's excellent new book, "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd" is coming in audiobook format, and we have some updates on this from the publishers.

The audiobook is being released on October 6th 2005, and will feature an abridged version of the book, read by Nick himself. Nick hasn't recorded the reading yet, and is not expected to do this for another few months.

The audiobook is expected to clock in around the three hour mark, being released on 3 CDs. Whilst we expect that there will be snippets of music included, either in the background during key sequences, or between "chapters", the publishers cannot confirm this yet, as this is a licensing issue which is still being decided on.

With regard to the cover art, this will be the existing book cover, the intriguing Storm Thorgerson image, adjusted to fit the CD packagings. The publishers have promised to keep us up to date with this release, so more news as and when we have it!
