We have reports for you today of two of the latest signing sessions that Nick Mason has undertaken, in his extensive tour in support of "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd".

Firstly, Nick returned to the Floyd's "home town" of Cambridge, for what turned out to be a massively popular signing session. As the Cambridge News reported today (with Nick pictured to the right), some 300 fans queued around the Grafton Shopping Centre yesterday to meet Nick and get their copy of the book, and other goodies, signed.

Nick spent around three hours at Heffers bookshop, with the first hour taken up with press interviews (including two radio interviews) before heading off to meet his fans.

Mary McIntosh, Cambridge regional manager of Heffers, said: "There were lots of very excited people. People started queuing an hour before the signing and the queue went right round the shop and out into the shopping centre. Most of them were avid Pink Floyd fans but there were also friends of Pink Floyd fans buying the book for a Christmas present. We are absolutely delighted with the turnout."

Although Nick was born in Birmingham, Pink Floyd of course has its roots in Cambridge. Bass player Roger Waters and guitarist Syd Barrett, from Cambridge, were in the original band and when Syd left he was replaced with another Cambridge guitarist, David Gilmour.

Nick also had a good reception when he visited Bath's Waterstone's bookshop. Again, a large number of fans turned up to meet Nick, getting him to sign things, and pose for pictures.

The picture to the left was taken from the Bath Star, a local newspaper, which reported on his appearance in the city.

Our thanks to our friend Titus for sending over these details and cuttings.
