Our German friends who want to finish their 2006 in style, have a perfect
way to immerse themselves in Pink Floyd on New Year's Eve!
Television station 3sat is broadcasting a whole day of excellent music
programming, beginning at 7am (CET) with Cream: Live At The Royal Albert Hall
from 2005.
However, the main highlights for visitors to this site, are to be found at
12:00pm (noon), when they air 45 minutes from David Gilmour's appearance at the Robert Wyatt Meltdown Festival in 2001.
Then to see in the New Year, at midnight, the Dark Side Of The Moon
segment from Pink Floyd's PULSE is shown. This was recorded on their
1994 Division Bell tour, at London's Earl's Court, and of course the
complete concert was released on DVD earlier this year.
Their day of music broadcasting then concludes with U2's Vertigo show, from Chicago.
Our thanks to our friend Ulli for letting us know about this break from the normal New Year's Eve television fare!
