Heyou issue 31

Just published is the latest issue (number 31 - cover date April 2018) of the Pink Floyd fanzine "Heyou" run by our friends over at the Italian website of the same name. The 52-page dual language magazine (in Italian and English), which is published every six months or so, catches up with things in the Floyd world.

The magazine has as its major focus The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains, in both its London AND Rome iterations. The explanation of the London staging is written by a contributor to the magazine, and guides you around the exhibition space. One tiny, glaring error is that the initial letter written by Syd, is credited in the article to Roger Waters, but other than that, it gives a good guide to the event. The Rome rundown is a reprint of an article from the Huffington Post, so doesn't describe the staging in much detail.

Elsewhere there is a large article on the 101-year-old Vera Lynn, best known as 'the force's sweetheart' in the Second World War, still a major force in the music world. Her latest album, Vera Lynn 100, has been nominated for a Classic Brit Award, and she is also up for female artist of the year in those awards. There's also a reprint of an interview with Gavin Elder, director of David Gilmour Live At Pompeii from the Brooklyn Vegan, a review of Roger Waters in Brisbane, Australia from the Courier-Mail, and a look at the Floydseum-organised AyseDeniz Gokcin show in Venice last November.

As with most issues of Heyou, there's a chronological look at things that have happened in the last few months in the news pages, ranging from various magazines published with Floyd content, to re-issues, books published, and more.

More details of the Heyou fanzine can be found at www.heyou.it/fsubscrbd.html, where you can get individual copies, and subscription enquiries (four issues costing 30 euros within Europe, and 40 euros outside Europe) should go to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it - make sure you mention Brain Damage when you write!
