US TV station VH1 Classic are broadcasting "Headline Act: Pink Floyd" on Monday, February 10th & Friday, February 14th at 7/6c pm & 4/3c pm. The hour-long programme includes "classic Pink Floyd videos" and a brand new interview with David Gilmour.
During the hour, Gilmour sets the record straight on the meaning of "Another Brick In The Wall Part 2": "I think regaling the world with the words, 'We don't need no education,' unless it's for the ones who understand a double negative, is probably not the greatest message to put across. Within the context of the film and the album, one would understand that (it) is actually a plea for better education." Videos that will be played during the hour will include "Another Brick In The Wall," "Arnold Layne," "On The Turning Away," "Welcome to the Machine," and "Wish You Were Here."
