WELCOME TO THE 25th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!
David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, has now been released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates were announced, and these have now begun, thrilling crowds in Brighton, England and Rome, Italy - see all the confirmed David Gilmour concert dates here. We're also eager for your views on each of the shows, and really welcome comments, reviews, pictures or anything else you'd be willing to share with the Floyd community - [email protected] is the address to use - thank you!
Sadly, the European dates for the Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour have come to their end. The gigs revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue. Don't forget that there's the live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.
Finally, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

New book: The Complete Pink Floyd - Glenn Povey |

Hot on the heels of yesterday's news about Glenn Povey's forthcoming book, 'Pink Floyd: Giants of Rock', we have information about Glenn's other publication from Carlton Books due out on the same day (March 3rd) which is called 'The Complete Pink Floyd' (with the additional advice of it being 'The Ultimate Reference', elsewhere on the cover).
Becoming quite the prolific author, Glenn is of course the founder of the original Brain Damage magazine, which lead to this website in 1999. His books 'In The Flesh', revised as 'Echoes', have been truly essential reference works and this major revision to 'Echoes' promises to be the cornerstone to every Floydian book collection.
We're hoping to bring you a review of the book soon, but here's a taster of what to expect from the publishers: "The Complete Pink Floyd...lists every concert, every appearance, every song, every turn and twist in the amazing story of one of the world's most famous bands. Acknowledged expert Glenn Povey...has been allowed access to all of the band's Abbey Road recording notes (the only person to do so). This complete reboot of the original is illustrated with all-new material, including hundreds of photographs and rare memorabilia. Every solo concert has been updated for Waters and Gilmour, and details of the band's many re-released albums have been added, including never-before-published research into their earliest recordings from 1965. The original Echoes was a great book but this full upgrade is it essential reference for any serious Pink Floyd fan."
We've a feeling that 'The Complete Pink Floyd' will become an almost daily reference for us, and with Glenn's past record and credentials, we're sure it's going to be a popular book. You can place your orders for it now, for despatch on publication, and benefiting from Amazon's 'pre-order price guarantee' (automatically paying the lowest price they offer an item for, between the time you order it and release), through these direct links: Amazon UK, Amazon.com, Amazon Canada, Amazon France, Amazon Germany, Amazon Spain and Amazon Italy.
