Composer and long-time collaborator with Pink Floyd and Roger Waters, Michael Kamen, has recently announced on his website that he has been suffering from MS (multiple sclerosis) for the last six years. He said: "I suffer no pain, I'm OK with it, although it is a drag, and I wish I didn't have it. It certainly hasn't affected my work and I could never dance anyway!"
He "revealed all" at an MS dinner in LA, which included a video tribute from friends of Michael's including Eric Clapton, Tom Hanks, Brian May, Annie Lennox, and David Gilmour. They managed to raise $3.5million just in that one evening! Our best wishes to Michael and admiration for his positive outlook despite his challenging condition... You can leave a message of support for him on his message board if you wish.
