To help celebrate Storm Thorgerson's unmissable exhibition, Mind Over Matter: Images Of Pink Floyd, that recently opened in Cambridgeshire, there's now the opportunity to meet Storm himself at the show.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Storm Thorgerson's first commission for Pink Floyd - the cover for 1968's "A Saucerful Of Secrets" - and the unique relationship between the band and artist, the exhibition travels through time revisiting those significant moments in
their musical history.
Running through to Sunday, July 19th, it has on display all the creative results of musical and artistic collaboration between the Floyd and Storm. Make sure you pay the exhibition a visit if you are in the Cambridge area over the next month or so - just check out our review of the show when it was in London last July.
However, if you want meet Storm himself, make sure you go along next Saturday (June 27th) at 2pm, when the "meet the artist" event that has been arranged, is due to start. The exhibition is being held at the Babylon Gallery, in Ely, Cambridgeshire. The gallery is open daily (except Mondays) from 12 noon until 4pm and admission is free. For further information,
please visit www.adec.org.uk.
