Yet more concerning the reunion of Pink Floyd and Roger Waters at the London Live 8 concert, being held on July 2nd in Hyde Park, of which the excitement within the Floyd community continues to build as the news sinks in, including a chance to win tickets to the show!
Firstly, we've been getting lots of additional information, for a number of countries, concerning television and radio coverage. We've updated our Live 8 broadcast info page with a country-by-country breakdown of who is showing what coverage. We've also separated off the BBC coverage. Obviously we welcome any additional information or corrections to the information on these pages.
As we mentioned above, there is a chance, on the AOL website, for you to win a 3-day, 2-night trip for four to the Live 8 London or Philadelphia concert (includes airfare, hotel, transportation to/from airport and the concert, tickets to the show and spending money).
There is one small drawback - it is only open to residents of the United States and the United Kingdom, who are at least 18 years old. Why there is this restriction, we don't know (and we know that European BD visitors will feel aggrieved at not being allowed to enter this additional chance to get tickets).
The contest ends at 11:59:59pm US Eastern Time / 4:59:59am Europe/London time on June 25, 2005. Good luck if you enter the contest. It's a good prize, and we hope that it goes to a BD visitor!
More information on the show/the band's appearance will be with you as soon as we have it, with the exception of the songs which will be played, as we figure that most of you wouldn't want the surprise to be spoilt by finding out beforehand.
