Our best wishes, and many happy returns to Jon Carin, who today celebrates his birthday (Wednesday, October 21st).
The talented multi-instrumentalist has been a key part of the Pink Floyd
operation for many years, first working with David back in 1985 at the London Live Aid show, with both of them in Bryan Ferry's band, and more recently toured with David Gilmour on his On An Island and Rattle That Lock tours, and Roger Waters on his Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall Live tours. This saw Jon as a key member of Roger's band for the mammoth tour, which saw the show
thrill audiences in North and South America, Europe, Australia and New
Zealand, with Jon playing keyboards, guitar and more during the show.
Since then, he spent a whole year working with Kate Bush on her
triumphant return to the live stage, in a sequence of shows which were
held at London's Eventim Apollo from August to the start of October last year. Since then, David's Rattle That Lock came knocking, and he has been a key part of that, and - like Kate's shows - was musical director on David's European tour and the Koko gig on Sunday night. The picture here shows Jon before the September concert in Orange, France, which has been praised as one of the best shows of David's 2015 tour - so far. Jon seems to be constantly in demand, and kept very busy - a testament to what he brings to musical projects.

It's full of fascinating insights into his life and work with various
top musicians, including (of course) David, Roger, and Pink Floyd!
Hope you are having a great day, Jon!
