On June 22nd, Roger Waters plays a historic concert in Israel, giving fans from the area the chance to hear him present a mix of solo material, and Pink Floyd's 1973 classic, Dark Side Of The Moon. Now, people across the world will be able to hear the show live, thanks to special radio broadcasts in the country.

The show is being held at Neve Shalom at the foot of the Latrun monastery, on the road between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It is a village of Israeli-Palestinian co-existence. Roger stated that he decided to move the show, in order to "show solidarity with the voices of reason of Israelis and Palestinians seeking a non-violent way for a just peace between the two peoples". The show will take place on a chickpea field, that has been dug up for the show (meaning no chickpea crop there this year!).

The show is being broadcast live on local radio. It will be aired on 88FM and also Reshet Bet, which is part of the Israeli Broadcasting Authority. Both stations have internet streams, enabling fans worldwide the chance to hear the event. The stations can be heard via media.iba.org.il. It is also possible that it is airing on Israeli station GALATZ, but we are waiting on confirmation on this.

UPDATE: we now have direct links to the internet streams of these radio stations:

Our thanks to Bob for this update.

We believe the concert starts at 8pm local time, which is 5pm GMT.

Our grateful thanks to Asaf Carmeli for this information.
