Pink Floyd's 1973 classic album has been included in a special shortlist of "Music To Change Your Life" - and is in the running to be the number one choice...and you can help make it happen!

Music To Change Your Life
Music To Change Your Life
BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine has been searching for the song that has the power to change lives. His listenership has been making suggestions, and the top ten tracks that have been nominated are now being put to a vote to find the music most likely to change one's life.

Most of you will have realised that Pink Floyd's entry is actually an album, rather than just a track; we're not sure how it qualified amongst other single songs but there you go!

Here's the selection of ultimate life changing tracks, for you to choose between:

  • God Only Knows - Beach Boys
  • Chorus Of The Hebrew Slaves - Giuseppe Verdi
  • Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
  • Say a Little Prayer - Aretha Franklin
  • Over The Rainbow - Judy Garland
  • Imagine - John Lennon
  • Something Inside So Strong - Labi Siffre
  • Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
  • Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd
  • Everybody Hurts - REM

You need to visit www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/musicclub/vine_change.shtml to place your vote. Make sure you get your vote in quickly, though - the result will be revealed during Jeremy's show on June 9th.

Our thanks to Nick Leake for the info...
