As we've mentioned before, Guy Pratt's new book, "My Bass and Other Animals", is published at the end of this month, and we've got five copies, signed by Guy, to give away to BD visitors in our latest competition!
The book promises a warts'n'all look at his life on the road and in the studio. To give a flavour of what to expect, here's a snippet from his live show:
Those who have seen Guy's "My Bass And Other Animals" show will know how hilarious it is, taking the audience through his musical history, involving such luminaries as Madonna, David Crosby, Michael Jackson and David Bowie, alongside sections on life with Pink Floyd and David Gilmour. The book itself should cover even more ground, and we cannot wait to read it!
Ordering details for the book, and the dates and locations where you can catch Guy live, below.
To the competition! To win one of the five signed copies we have, just answer the following questions:
When did Guy first perform live with Pink Floyd?
Who is Guy currently touring with, as his bass player?
With which band did he play at Live8 in July 2005?
Please email your answer to
