We know that many of you will be thrilled with the following news -
an extensive set of UK dates for Guy Pratt's one-man, stand up comedy
show "My Bass And Other Animals".
Guy, of course, first got heavily involved with Pink Floyd back in
1987, touring and recording with the band ever since. Last year, he was
also a key part of David Gilmour's band during the On An Island jaunt.
His experiences have given him some great material as part of his
recollections of life on the road and in the studio, for this tour and
for his forthcoming book...
Those who have seen Guy's "My Bass And Other Animals" show will know
how hilarious it is, taking the audience through his musical history,
involving such luminaries as Madonna, David Crosby, Michael Jackson and
David Bowie, alongside sections on life with Pink Floyd and David
Gilmour.
The book of the same name, to be published next month by Orion
Books, promises much more, and should be an essential purchase for all!
To order a copy of the "My Bass & Other Animals" book (at time
of writing with a healthy discount), for delivery upon release, you can
use the following special links: Amazon UK, Amazon Canada, Amazon Germany, or Amazon France.
Please note that all the Amazon stores will ship the book worldwide.
Also, using our Amazon links helps with the running costs of the site
and we really appreciate it!
Guy is currently touring with Bryan Ferry in what is an excellent
show - another not to be missed, playing the UK and Europe between now
and mid-July, taking in major shows such as the Princess Diana Tribute
Show at the new Wembley Stadium, and the Instanbul Jazz Festival.
More details of the dates, venues and ticketing for the Ferry tour can be found over at www.bryanferry.com.
However, Guy has managed to work out a suitable schedule for his OWN
show, which neatly dovetails many of the Bryan Ferry concerts!
