We reported last Monday
that David Gilmour would be performing a very special concert for the
BBC, to be broadcast on the corporations Radio 2 station soon. We now
have full details of how UK Brain Damage readers can try and win
tickets for the event!

BBC Radio 2 concerts, including
forthcoming David Gilmour show |
The event is to showcase David's
forthcoming album, "On An Island", which hits the stores on March 6th
in the UK and Europe, and March 7th in the US, but will also include a
selection of David's favourite Pink Floyd tracks, too. The appearance
will be at London's Mermaid Theatre, which has a maximum capacity of
600, on March 7th. The show is being recorded for broadcast a few days
later on Saturday, March 11th.
Tickets are not on sale for this
show; to be in with a chance, you have to be resident in the UK, you
need to answer the question over at www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/events/davidgilmour correctly, AND be one of the lucky ones picked at random from all the correct entries received.
The competition closes at
midnight GMT on Sunday, February 26th. Only one competition entry per
person will be accepted and transport to and from the event is not
included in the prize. And don't forget to read the competition rules!
If you are outside the UK, or
don't manage to get tickets, you will be able to listen to the BBC
Radio 2 broadcast of the concert in a number of ways. Those in the UK
and Europe can receive the station via FM or DAB radios, via satellite,
cable and freeview TV systems. Listeners worldwide can tune in via the
excellent Listen Live/Listen Again facilities at www.BBC.co.uk/radio2.
We also hear that the concert
will be syndicated worldwide, and we hope to bring you full details of
the local broadcasters by the end of the week.
