The article shown in this news story, published in the UK's Daily Star newspaper this week, has thrown Pink Floyd fans into a frenzy. The story asserts that Pink Floyd, with Roger Waters, are to perform two weeks at the Royal Albert Hall in October/November this year. The story was also picked up on the UK's Virgin Radio, and Italian radio has been talking about very little else since the story appeared!

However, a story that appeared yesterday on the Rolling Stone website makes it clear how much truth is in this article. In the story, David says that he enjoyed their Live 8 set "immensely" but added "taking the gravy train for a Pink Floyd greatest-hits show is not what I need to be doing at this stage in my life."

David also talks about his forthcoming album, On An Island, and says "I hope people will think it's great. It's the best thing I've ever done."

Our thanks to Roger Little and Chris Norman for their help.
