David Gilmour's management have
confirmed that they have been able to release some extra tickets for
London's Royal Albert Hall concert on his "On An Island" tour, for
production reasons. They will be going on sale via the Royal Albert
Hall Box Office only, at 9AM on Monday 27th February.
There are tickets for every night
(May 29th, 30th and 31st) in the 'choir' section of the stage, so will
be behind the musicians – a unique viewpoint. A few (possibly 30 or so)
for May 29th and 30th are in the Arena (in front of the stage), in Rows
13, 15 and 17.
Some of the tickets that have
been released, has been due to the efforts of the venue's staff. They
have been keeping a close eye on eBay, and invalidating tickets which
have been on sale there. They have also been encouraging people with
spare tickets to return them to the Albert Hall, instead of reselling
them. This now means that more fans have an opportunity to snap up some
tickets at a fair price.
Please note that their policy of searching eBay is still operational!
As mentioned above, the tickets
are only available from the venue's box office - either by telephone,
or via the internet. Their telephone number is 020 7589 8212 and staff
will be available to take your calls from 9am. You can also visit www.RoyalAlbertHall.com to order, or to find out more details of the venue.
We hope this information gets to
you in time for you to be ready at 9am on Monday morning, should you be
after tickets - and the best of luck!
