Pink Floyd very rarely allow their songs to be used on compilation albums, but a new collection, a 3CD set called "The Best Album Tracks Ever", has managed to get the evocative Great Gig In The Sky, from the band's 1973 classic "Dark Side Of The Moon", included.
The aim of the collection is to pull together non-single releases from some of the best albums in the world. As with any selection like this, there are some very safe, and also very unusual, choices made.
Other artists on the album include Radiohead, John Lennon, Queen, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Kate Bush, Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan and Coldplay.
The CD can be ordered through our special links at Amazon UK/Elsewhere, Germany, or France. Any item bought from Amazon after getting to their site from our special links, helps with the running costs of this site, and we greatly appreciate it.
Our thanks to Matthew Dixon for this information...
