On October 16th we reported that the Flaming Lips were to release a cover version of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon. For those of you interested in this developing story, we've got a couple of updates for you.
First, for those eager for the release of the already recorded opus: according to the new issue of Rolling Stone, their remake will be released before Christmas as a digital release only (iTunes, etc.).
Second, the band are performing a special New Year's Eve concert in Downtown Oklahoma City's Cox Center, which will feature - starting at midnight - a special performance of TDSOTM as the perfect start to 2010 for those attending! Click the thumbnail for the event poster.
Our thanks to regular Brain Damage contributor Stephen Humphries for the info.
