The latest issue of Guitar World magazine, which has just hit US stores, has a feast of Floyd, with indepth interviews with Roger Waters AND David Gilmour!

Guitar World
The interview with David, conducted recently on board Astoria, his houseboat studio, is an absorbing look at the recording process.

It covers the development and creation of his new album, On An Island, and also looks at other recent events - the Live 8 reunion, and how the chances look for a repeat of this historic get-together in the future. (A clue: it doesn't look good!)

He even touches on the numerous delays to the Pulse DVD, and from his comments, makes it clear that there should be no good reason for any delays beyond the confirmed release date of September 18th this year.

Turning now to the Waters interview, this is a fascinating look at his views on the state of music today, the Live 8 reunion, his thoughts on Pink Floyd, and more.

It is the same interview that originally appeared in the UK's Word Magazine, around the time of the release of Ca Ira.

Elsewhere, there is also a guitar tutorial, described on the cover as "The Ultimate Pink Floyd Lesson". The CD-ROM includes a step-by-step guide to playing "Another Brick" and "Comfortably Numb".

And, in selected newsstand copies only, there are a pair of Pink Floyd posters: the first of which is Storm Thorgerson's "back catalogue" picture, and the other is a collage of items, adorning an early seventies picture of the band.

The magazine, which is out now, should be available from all good stockists in the US and Canada, and available in a number of countries worldwide as an import.

Our thanks to Alex Reist and Marie Lopez for their help in bringing this info to you.
