Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1987WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

It's 2025! This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

We now know that Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, digital and cinema screenings are on their way, with the releases on May 2nd, and the cinema screenings shortly before. NOT to be missed!

There's also three Record Store Day releases to come on April 12th, from David Gilmour, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, and Roger Waters which are also definitely worth tracking down, either in a participating store, or online afterwards.

Last year, David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, was released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA. Rome shows were filmed for release at some point...watch this space!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's the RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

Written by Matt

Just a quick reminder that Guy Pratt is bringing his highly acclaimed new show, "Guy Pratt's Wake Up Call" to London and Manchester this week in a couple of one-off shows, and there are a few tickets still available for each. On the basis of the feedback we've had from his Edinburgh shows, these are appearances you won't want to miss!

The London show is on Friday (October 22nd) at the 20th Century Theatre. Doors open at 7:30pm, with pizza available during the intermission, and a late bar until midnight. Our friends in and around Manchester will have to wait until Saturday (October 23rd), when Guy arrives at the Engine House, for a show that's part of the Manchester Comedy Festival. Doors open for this show at 9:15pm, with the show starting at 9:30pm. Both shows are for over-18s only as alcohol will be on sale in the venues.

Click here for London tickets, and here for Manchester tickets. You can book right up to the day of the show, as physical tickets aren't issued, but a unique booking reference is, which you quote on the door of the venue.
