From looking at some of the emails we've had recently, Pink Floyd fans (and relatives of them too - Floyd widows!) are looking round for interesting or unusual Christmas presents. We've been contacted with details of something that might prove suitable...
Danish rock photographer Joergen Angel has had a long career of capturing artists in action, from the mid 1960s until the end of the 1980s. During that time, he gained quite a reputation, and his claim to fame are the shots of the pre-Led Zeppelin band "The New Yardbirds" at their first concert.
He is now selling prints of some of his pictures. In his archives, he has 50,000, of which around 2,000 can be seen on his website - www.Angel.dk. Of particular interest are his wonderfully atmospheric pictures of Pink Floyd in action at the Copenhagen Falkoner Centret, in November 1970, and the KB Hallen, again in Copenhagen, in 1971.
The pictures can be obtained in various sizes, and discounts are available if you buy a number of shots. From time to time, special offers are also available, and these are detailed on the site.
Even if you have no intention of buying one, the site is worth a visit to see the great black and white shots of the band in action.
