Our thanks to all of you who entered our latest competition, which offered three lucky Brain Damage visitors each a pair of tickets, in exchange for correctly answering a couple of questions about the band's history.
As expected, the competition was very popular. The Australian Pink Floyd show are old friends of Brain Damage - they first performed in the UK back in 1993 at the debut BD fan convention - and their next major tour of the UK starts in April. Tickets traditionally sell very quickly indeed, so if you aren't a winner this time around, make sure you order your tickets now through Ticketmaster.co.uk or Seetickets.com to avoid missing out on a show that so many Floyd fans rave about.
So, where are they playing, and who were the lucky three to win the pair of tickets? Read on for full details...
The lucky winners are: David Pocock, Robin Sadler, and David Smith, all from the UK. Congratulations to these three, drawn at random from the piles of correct entries that came in from all corners of the world.
Some fans might be curious about the Aussie Floyd, and what their concerts entail. "On this tour we will play a 'Greatest Hits' type show rather than one complete album. It will give the fans a chance to see and hear many of their favourite Pink Floyd songs performed live" says singer and bass player Colin Wilson. "We will of course bring a huge light show with us
again, so it's definitely a show not to miss!"
"In 2009 we performed the complete 'Wall' album for its 30th anniversary. In 2010 we will perform all the favourite Pink Floyd songs from across their whole catalogue. Anyone who has ever liked Pink Floyd will love this new show" adds singer and guitarist Damian Darlington.
