The organisers of the world's first official tribute to the life and work of Syd Barrett - The City Wakes - have appealed for those who knew Barrett during his youth in Cambridge, to get in touch.
As part of the 11-day tribute, a new book is being written with interviews based on the memories of Syd's friends and family, along with some unique memorabilia from their personal collections.
