Our very best wishes, and many happy returns, to David Gilmour today, who will hopefully be celebrating his birthday in the spring sunshine!
It is exactly nine years to the day since the release of his last solo album, On An Island, with his previous album About Face having its 31st anniversary yesterday. But, of course, thoughts uppermost in everyone's minds relate to the 2015 European Tour which he announced this week, mentioning that his new album (as yet untitled) is due to coincide with the shows in September.
