Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1987WELCOME TO THE 25th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, has now been released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates were announced, and these have now begun, thrilling crowds in Brighton, England and Rome, Italy - see all the confirmed David Gilmour concert dates here. We're also eager for your views on each of the shows, and really welcome comments, reviews, pictures or anything else you'd be willing to share with the Floyd community - [email protected] is the address to use - thank you!

Sadly, the European dates for the Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour have come to their end. The gigs revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue. Don't forget that there's the live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Finally, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

HOW TO HELP THE SITE: If you want to contribute anything - such as concert reviews, articles or pictures - we'd love to hear from you; please email us.

David Gilmour - Wroclaw, Poland 2016[STORY UPDATED] Television broadcast details are now through for David Gilmour's concert in Plac Wolności (Freedom Square), in Wroclaw, Poland. The concert takes place next Saturday, June 25th, and is the first show of the remaining part of David's 2015-16 Rattle That Lock tour.

The special one-off event, located on Freedom Square in front of the National Forum of Music, and including a large orchestra, will be filmed by Aubrey 'Po' Powell and broadcast live on Polish TV. This forms part of the city's celebrations as European Capital of Culture 2016.

Those in Poland (who are not attending the sold-out show, that is) should tune in to channel TVP2, who are scheduled to broadcast the concert between 9:45pm - 11pm local time. Unless there is a truncated show planned for this venue, one presumes they are only showing the second half of the concert? Following on, at 11pm is a half-hour interview with David, but no details are provided of when the interview was undertaken.

Those in Poland, and elsewhere, may be able to watch the broadcast online via a stream. The channel's website is at tvp2.tvp.pl. Our thanks to Cam for letting us know about the channel details.

UPDATE: Our thanks to Zulia Malyshenko for the information that the second part of the concert will be broadcast from 11:10pm until 0:50am on Polish television channel TVP Rozryvka. More information at Teleman.pl.
