Last night saw David Gilmour and his band wow the crowd at the first of his five nights at London's Royal Albert Hall - and brought along some guests and a special addition to the visuals, to make a great evening even more special. We've got more details of the concert on the dedicated show page...which is found within the David Gilmour 2015 section.
David's old friends Graham Nash and David Crosby both showed up to lend a hand on the first night, but from looking at their website, it is clear that they won't be at other Gilmour shows as they are touring in their own right - and are due to perform in Amsterdam this evening, before moving on to Brussels.
One side note - if you are going to any of the upcoming concerts in London, please ensure you bring suitable photo ID (original, not a photocopy) as per the original terms and conditions. We've had one or two people asking how the entry procedures went: they seemed fine last night. The Royal Albert Hall has the benefit of a number of entrances spanning the circumference of the venue, and this splits the audience into much more manageable chunks than, say, the Brighton Centre had for the Preview Show. The staff seemed well organised and efficient at checking tickets against ID, and it proved a painless experience for me. We hope all of you attending have a similarly easy time getting in.
For those who have asked for these details: the doors themselves open at 6:45pm, with show time at 7:45pm. Last night's concert finished around 10:45pm, and there's a 20 minute or so intermission.
If you went last night, please let us know what you thought of the show. If you are going tonight, Friday, or next week, enjoy the concert!
