As a bit of advance notice for you, BBC Television are repeating David Gilmour: Wider Horizons at 1:30am on Friday, December 18th, on BBC2 and BBC2 HD. Having seen the entire 72-minute programme, we are sure that those of you who missed its original screenings will - like we did - find it a fascinating look at the man and musician, taking in the various elements of his life. There are a lot of archive photographs and footage of David from his early days before Pink Floyd, but more than that, it is a warm and relaxed glimpse into life with his family.
The BBC website describes the documentary as follows: 'After a break of nine years, David Gilmour steps back into the spotlight with a number one album and world tour. This film is an intimate portrait of one of the greatest guitarists and singers of all time, exploring his past and present. With unprecedented access, the film crew have captured and detailed key moments in David Gilmour's personal and professional life that have shaped him both as a person and a musician.'
BBC2 and BBC2 HD are viewable via digital terrestrial, the various digital platforms including Virgin Media and Sky, and online at the BBC website.
