News arrived late last night that XM
Satellite Radio, America's satellite radio service (featuring 68
commercial free music channels), is assembling a small audience of
friends and fans of David Gilmour for a recording of a live session to
be held tomorrow evening, April 7th, at a secret location in Manhattan,
New York City.

Seating for this event, akin to
the BBC recording at the Mermaid Theatre in London a month ago, is
extremely limited, and XM issued an email to their newsletter list
offering tickets to the first twenty people to respond back to them.
Needless to say, we have no way of getting tickets for any of you, so
please don't ask! If you've been lucky enough to get a ticket, please
let us know - we'd love to hear from you.
As yet there are no indications
when XM will be airing the recording, or on which XM channel it will
air on. We will update you once we know...
If you are not in the US, or not
a subscriber to XM Radio, fear not - you can still listen in, once the
show is scheduled! You will need to go to XMRadio.com
where you will be able to sign up for a free, three-day trial to listen
via their website. XM satellite radio programming can also be heard by
subscribers to DirecTV.
Finally, the newest version of
WinAmp comes with "AOL Radio with XM". Once Winamp 5.1 is installed,
open up the Media Library, and start listening to XM. For your free
player, go to Winamp.com.
Our thanks to Michael Mastropaolo, Deb Mallick, and asparaguy0 for the info.
