It was confirmed in an interview with Michael Kamen, long time Pink Floyd and Roger Waters collaborator, in The Times newspaper on May 29th, that the Party At The Palace concert to be held at Buckingham Palace in London in honour of the Queen's Golden Jubilee on Monday June 3rd, will include David Gilmour in some capacity.
Other artists scheduled to appear include the likes of Eric Clapton, Sir Paul McCartney, Elton John, Atomic Kitten, Rod Stewart, The Corrs and somewhat bizarrely, Ozzy Ozbourne! (In an interview today on the BBC he confirmed that the royal corgie dogs were safe - making reference to his legendary head-biting-off antics!)
The concert is scheduled to start at 7:30pm and run for three hours. It will be televised by the BBC. There were 12,000 tickets available for the event, given free in a draw from over three million entries made. Touts won't have a chance at this event - proper identification is needed at the gates of the palace.
