Later....with Jools HollandJust a quick head's up for those of you in the UK - tomorrow evening (Tuesday, September 29th) BBC2 TV hosts the latest episode in the Later Live...With Jools Holland series. Staggeringly it is listed as series 47, and more specifically episode 3.

As the Radio Times notes, "Former Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour visits Jools, with songs from his new album Rattle That Lock. In a YouTube clip about the title song, Gilmour reveals that it was inspired by a jingle used on French railway announcements ("I was in Aix-en-Provence station visiting friends…"). He also mentions, in a nice prog-rock touch, that the lyrics are "inspired by book two of Paradise Lost by John Milton". Other guests, possibly not inspired by French railways, include the Weeknd, the Libertines and a bizarre Ukrainian quartet called DakhaBraka. Three women and one man swap instruments (drums accordions, cello, etc) and sing brilliant shrieky harmonies. It’s worth hearing."

The show airs tomorrow night at 10pm UK time, on BBC2 and BBC2 HD, which is viewable via digital terrestrial, the various digital platforms including Virgin Media and Sky, and online at the BBC website. It will also be available to watch on demand via the BBC's iPlayer service after it has aired on TV.

There is an extended repeat showing, lasting just over an hour, as Later With Jools Holland which airs on Friday night (October 2nd) at 11:30pm UK again on BBC2 and BBC2 HD. Our thanks to Dave Carlin, Mike Ford and Adrian Culley for letting us know.
