Stills from Scotland Today, May 30th |
The version on their website is longer than the broadcast version, and includes footage from the Clyde Auditorium show in Glasgow alongside David's comments.
In the interview, which lasts
nearly four minutes, David is asked why he has gone on the road. "The
alternative is sitting around on my backside! I still enjoy making
music, and getting out and doing a few shows once in a while is good
for the soul..."
He is also asked the inevitable
question about Live8, and the future of the band. "I have no great
desire to do that again. If the right moment came up at some point, to
do another one-off of that sort I don't suppose I'd look too harshly
upon it, but I certainly don't intend to go out on tour with Pink
Floyd. It's in the past for me..."
The interview is in Windows Media format, and can be seen at scotlandtoday.scottishtv.co.uk.
Whilst short, it is interesting, and you get to see a snippet of David
Crosby, without his sidekick Graham Nash (who didn't attend the Glasgow
show due to family reasons), doing a solo backing vocal on the title
track from On An Island.
Our thanks to John Kilbride from Scotland Today/STV for the info...
