On August 6th 2002, Total Guitar announced their top 100 guitarists of all time. Voted for by thousands of readers worldwide and also by guitarists themselves, it makes for interesting reading. Whilst every such poll gives cause for debate, it is still nice to see that David is considered one of the best by his peers and by the public. For a pretty lowkey and retiring chap, it is a good showing. Some pleasing inclusions (Frank Zappa, for example), but some names not present... Snowy White for one.
