Many of you will recall that Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour appeared with Jools Holland at the
Teenage Cancer Trust charity show at London's Royal Albert Hall, on April 1st this year.
With thanks to Lucy at the Trust, we can confirm that there will be a DVD of the Jools Holland night at the Royal Albert Hall. As yet, they cannot confirm the exact content of the DVD, or the release date, but hopefully it will be out soon. We have asked Lucy to keep us updated on news of this DVD. Having attended the night in question, we are sure that the DVD will be an essential purchase - some great artists and superb music throughout the evening!
The Teenage Cancer Trust focuses on the particular needs of UK teenagers and young adults with cancer,
leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and related diseases. The Charity designs and builds dedicated adolescent cancer units in hospitals and funds and organises support and information services for patients, their families, schools and health professionals. Teenager Cancer Trust has a number of awareness and fundraising activities throughout the year. The Charity is actively developing overseas contacts in order to create support for teenagers with cancer and related diseases on a global level. An affiliation already exists with CanTeen in Australia.
A great cause - and deserving of your support when the DVD comes out. And if you feel like making a
donation while you are waiting for it to come out, I am sure they will be happy to accept it!
