Further to our recent reports on David Gilmour's very special concert for the BBC, to be broadcast on the corporation's Radio 2 station next month, we now have details of how non-ticket holders, worldwide, can SEE the concert, as well as hear it!

Radio 2 concerts
BBC Radio 2 concerts, including
forthcoming David Gilmour show
The event is to showcase David's forthcoming album, "On An Island", which hits the stores on March 6th in the UK and Europe, and March 7th in the US, but will also include a selection of David's favourite Pink Floyd tracks, too. The appearance will be at London's Mermaid Theatre, which has a maximum capacity of 600, on March 7th. The show is being recorded for an hour-long broadcast on BBC Radio 2 a few days later on Saturday, March 11th, at 8:30pm GMT.

As we mentioned before, tickets are not on sale for this show; to be in with a chance, you have to be resident in the UK, you need to answer the question over at www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/events/davidgilmour correctly, AND be one of the lucky ones picked at random from all the correct entries received. HURRY, as the competition closes at midnight GMT on Sunday, February 26th - TOMORROW!

If you are outside the UK, or don't manage to get tickets, you will be able to listen to the BBC Radio 2 broadcast of the concert in a number of ways. Those in the UK and Europe can receive the station via FM or DAB radios, via satellite, cable and freeview TV systems. Listeners worldwide can tune in via the excellent Listen Live/Listen Again facilities at www.BBC.co.uk/radio2.

We also hear that the concert will be syndicated worldwide, and we hope to bring you full details of the local broadcasters by the end of the week.

HOW YOU CAN SEE THE CONCERT

Once the concert has finished airing on BBC Radio 2, at 9:30pm, then you have the chance to SEE highlights of the show!

In what is BBC Radio 2's first interactive TV production, you need to tune in to BBC1, BBC2, BBC3 or BBC4 TV, where you can then press the "red button" if you have digital cable, satellite or freeview TV. Until March 14th you'll be able to see a 30 minute edit of the concert.

However, if that's not long enough for you, go to www.BBC.co.uk/Radio2, where those on a fast, broadband connection will be able to watch a 60 minute edit of the concert!

Our thanks to axious for helping with this story...
