Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour appeared alongside a whole host of top musicians at the London Wembley Arena charity event on September 24th to celebrate the Fender Stratocaster guitar, and we have a reminder for you of the broadcast on radio station Capital Gold in the UK tomorrow evening (Friday 12th) along with some information on the DVD of the event.
It has been confirmed to us that the show will air this coming Friday (November 12th) and will be part of their 10pm rock show. We can also exclusively reveal that the concert was mixed and edited in David's studio by David and Andy Jackson. So that bodes well for his parts being included! The highlights of the concert are currently scheduled to last for at least an hour - as yet, we don't have a running order for this radio edit.
Details of how to receive the Capital Gold signal can be found at their website - CapitalGold.com. If you are unable to pick up their signal via the various methods they offer, they also have the "Listen Live" facility on their website.
The DVD of the show is now scheduled to be released in April 2005, and is expected to help raise a lot more money for the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity. The concert alone raised £175,000 for the charity, and the DVD is expected to swell this figure dramatically. We are also hoping to have news about the event t-shirt, which sold out early on the night, and might well be made available again shortly as an online purchase.
Our thanks to Dan at LD and the team at Capital Gold, and Fender Europe, for their help and information.
