With the Christmas holiday at the end of the month, we thought we'd put together a bumper sack of goodies to give away! We also wanted to celebrate the end of the first year of our new design website - we've found it a positive change, and we hope you have too. We're working behind the scenes on some new features and enhancements which will appear next year, that we hope you'll like.
However, back to the competition. With DVDs, books, and tour programmes amongst the prizes, there should be something of interest for everyone...
The following prizes are up for grabs:
- David Gilmour's "Remember That Night: Live At The Royal Albert Hall" live 2-disc DVD (PAL format)
- "The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story" 2-disc DVD (NTSC format)
- Mark Blake's "Pigs Might Fly" book
- Nicholas Schaffner's "A Saucerful Of Secrets: The Pink Floyd Odyssey" book
- Patrick Humphries' "Illustrated History Of Pink Floyd" book
- Jeff Bench & Daniel O'Brien's "Pink Floyd The Wall: In The Studio, On Stage, And On Screen" book
- 6 x David Gilmour DVD Premiere programmes, which will come with
- 6 x Syd Barrett tribute concert programmes (you'll get one of each)
- 2 x Pink Floyd Interstellar exhibition programmes for the opening weekend's film screenings
Our question for you, to put you in with a chance of winning one of the prizes above, relates to the Christmas On Earth Continued concert, which took place 40 years ago on December 22nd, 1967.
Billed as an "All night Christmas dream party", running from 8pm to 8am, it featured a stunning line-up for your £1 (which admittedly would have been quite a price in those days). Amongst the advertised attractions were the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Eric Burdon & The Animals, The Who, The Move, The Soft Machine, plus others, alongside the Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd. Wow!
You need to tell us: in which London venue was the concert held?

This won't spoil your chances of winning; if you are picked out the BD Santa hat and don't want a particular prize, we'll allocate another to you.
You have the TWELVE DAYS running up to Christmas - December 13th to 24th - to get your entry in to us. On Christmas Day (December 25th) Santa's elves will pick the fourteen winners from all the correct entries received (please - just one entry per household). We'll announce the winners shortly after. Good luck to all!
UPDATE, December 25th: The competition is now closed, and Santa's elves are working their way through the many hundreds of correct entries to find the fourteen winners! The names of the winners will be shown here shortly...
