Roger Waters has been added to the bill for the two Music To My Ears benefit concerts for the family of the late Timothy White. John Mellencamp, Don Henley, Sheryl Crow, and Sting will join the former Pink Floyd singer-bassist at both shows, while James Taylor will be on the Boston date and Brian Wilson and Jimmy Buffett will play the New York show.
The benefit shows take place October 7th at the FleetCenter in Boston, and October 8th at New York's Madison Square Garden. Proceeds from the events, as well as from an online memorabilia auction at ticketmaster.com, will go to Judy Garlan White, White's widow, and their twin sons, Alexander and Christopher.
White, who died suddenly on June 27th at the age of 50, was a respected music journalist and an editor at Billboard. He was also the author of a number of artist biographies, including books on Wilson, Taylor, the Beach Boys, and Bob Marley.
Tickets are currently available from Ticketmaster and other normal outlets.
