The Vancouver Sun, in a story posted this lunchtime (link here), are stating that Roger Waters is touring this summer, in a news story about summer tours and shows. We've contacted Mark Fenwick, Roger's manager to get a definitive statement about this.
Mark has confirmed to us that: "Roger is currently working on Ca Ira which we hope will be finished this year for release in 2004. His new studio album is substantially written but not yet recorded. The timing of any tour is predicated on when the new album is completed and released which may be at the end of next year or 2005."
So there you have it - the current situation as at July 10th. Obviously, if/when these details change, we will pass the information on to you.

An update to our previous news stories about the rebroadcast of the 1974 Wembley Dark Side Of The Moon performance: BBC Radio 6 are putting this out in their Dream Ticket show on Monday evening, between 10pm and midnight, BST (GMT plus 1 hour). Prior to the DSOTM performance, "support" comes from Steve Hackett, Steve Hillage, and The Groundhogs (who have featured three Steve's in their lineups over the years). To complete the "Steve" thread, Pink Floyd's manager is of course, Steve O'Rourke!

Our friend Peter at FloydPhotos.com who are offering top quality prints of the Floyd live in 1966 (visit them today, for a great collectible), is having an exhibition of his work.
The exhibition consists of his superb Floyd photos, together with some still lives. It is being held at The Raincheck Bar, Monmouth Street, Bath (England) from July 23rd to the end of September. His pictures of Syd's iteration of the band are well worth seeing, so make a note in your diary for this event.

We spoke to our friends at Reynolds & Hearn today, about the forthcoming book "Pink Floyd - The Wall" by Vernon Fitch and Richard Mahon. They have just received the manuscript for the book and are very excited by it - Vernon and Richard seem to have exceeded the publishers expectations on the quality and amount of material included, and the extensive coverage of the subject.
Publication is looking to be around October/November; we should be getting more details soon, including the final cover picture (the one that is currently being seen on various retailers is an interim cover). Sounds like it's going to be a fantastic book - get your orders in now, using our links to Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com.

We have previously reported that Stevenson Entertainment Group were planning to release a set of figurines from Pink Floyd's The Wall.
Thanks to our friends at Forbidden Planet, we are now able to show you what the figures are proposed to look like (they are still to have final approval). Each one, based on Gerald Scarfe's original drawings, comes with a segment of "wall" so that you can build you very own diorama if you collect them all.
Forbidden Planet are now taking pre-orders for the figures, which are due in September this year, via this special link directly to the figures on their website.
