The final artwork for the Super Audio CD of Dark Side Of The Moon is now here. Click on the thumbnail to the right, to launch a large, high resolution (160K) version of the image, or alternatively find it within the DSOTM section of our ARTICLES department.
There are some subtle changes from the interim editions of this artwork - now you can clearly see trees and rooftops through the glass. We're hoping to have a chat with Storm Thorgerson, the cover designer, shortly. Watch this space!

A sampler for Nick Mason's history of Pink Floyd is now starting to do the rounds.
This is for the new edition - a sampler for the original version was printed and included some sample pictures, the final cover (a shot accompanies one of our interviews with Nick) and some passages from the book. We've yet to see a copy of this new sampler so cannot confirm any details for this, but we're waiting for the publishers to pass us the final, confirmed info. Once we have this, so will you.

The March 2003 issue of the UK's Classic Rock magazine includes plenty on Dark Side Of The Moon, as well as a nice cover shot.
There's a four page article by Hugh Fielder, with some nice pictures, and quotes from Nick, David, Roger and Storm Thorgerson, a whole page on the Wizard Of Oz synchronicity, and a very funny cartoon (albeit with poor caricatures of the band) which shows Roger finding out about the synchronicity!
There is also a feature on "Rock's 30 Greatest Concept Albums". Naturally, number 1 is DSOTM, but also featuring are The Wall (number 10), The Final Cut (number 21), and Radio KAOS (number 24).

Stevenson Entertainment have announced a set of "action figures" based on animations from the film, "The Wall". The seven-inch figurines will each come with a piece of wall - get all the characters and build your own wall! The series consists of: the eagle warplane, the marching hammers, the Judge, the Schoolteacher, the Scorpion (Pink's wife), and Pink himself. The figures, which have required the OK of Roger Waters, will not be available until the Autumn (around October).
Hugo Stevenson, of Stevenson Entertainment, has given us some more information on the action figures:
"We actually haven't begun sculpting the figures yet, but are targeting this fall as a release date on the initial line of 5 action figures. Series 1 will consist of the following:
- Eagle warplane
- School Teacher
- Judge
- Marching Hammers
- Scorpion and Pink"
It is interesting to note that this is series 1 - wonder what follow-on series will bring? The pig? Lightbulb Man? The Welcome To The Machine monster? Or will they look at other characters from The Wall? Anyway... pricing information and where to get them from, will be here as soon as we have it.

European music trade publication MusicWeek is reporting that Roger is working on a new surround sound mix of his legendary 1990 concert, The Wall Live In Berlin.
The concert, held on July 21st 1990 on Potsdamer Platz at the site of the old "no-mans-land" by the original wall (and above Adolf Hitler's bunker), was in aid of the Memorial Fund set up by the late Leonard Cheshire. All rights and royalties from the project were passed to the Fund in perpetuity. It is hoped that it will be available towards the middle of this year. More info, of course, as we have it...
