The concert was held at
Farnborough, on the 13th February, and the poster for the show was
unmissable in the local area!
One of the "Eye Of Argus" posters,
created by Bob Lewis, that were rife in the Windsor/Slough/Berkshire
area of England in the early seventies, these colourful posters have
proved very collectable when examples appear.
Now, some of the more interesting
examples of his work have been picked out, covering artists such as The
Who, Jimi Hendrix, and David Bowie, and made available to purchase
through www.EyeOfArgus.com,
in a choice of two sizes.
Shown to the right is the Floyd poster, which
is one of a large range of posters on the site for classic acts.
It is worth visiting their site
if only to browse through some good examples of early concert poster
art, covering the subtle change in style from some of the psychedelic
examples of the late sixties, to a slightly more direct style.
