In April, Dutch Woodstock 1970, a new look at the June 1970 Kralingen Music Festival, was released as a 2 CD and 1 DVD set.
The concert, held in a neighbourhood of the Dutch city of Rotterdam, had in the region of 120,000 in the audience, and a video giving a taste of it - Stamping Ground - has been around for many years. Other than the likes of Al Stewart, Marc Bolan, The Byrds, Santana and Jefferson Airplane, the film included Pink Floyd performing Set The Controls, and A Saucerful of Secrets live, albeit in quite an edited fashion.
But quite a lot of music was recorded that wasn't in the film, and this new set is said to include a lot more of the live material than has been heard before. We've not seen or heard this new set, so we don't know if the Floyd tracks are finally presented in full. In the concert, Set The Controls ran for some eleven and a half minutes, and Saucerful was almost twenty minutes long! We've been promised a review copy, so once that arrives, we will take a very close look - and listen - for you all.
In the meantime, if you don't already have a previous version of this, and you fancy giving it a try, you can order through all the normal outlets, including
Amazon UK, Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon France, Amazon Germany, Amazon Espana and Amazon Italy.

Yesterday, it was announced that two shows on the 2013 Roger Waters The Wall Live tour have had to change venues.
Due to technical, production and curfew issues the August 7th show in Prague has moved to the O2 Arena and the September 1st show in Belgrade has moved to the city's Kombank Arena. All previously purchased tickets for these shows will be honoured at the new venues. Please contact your point of purchase for information on how this move will affect your seating. RogerWaters.com customers will be contacted directly. Tickets for Belgrade can still be purchased through Eventim.rs. If you are after tickets for Prague, please note that the capacity of the new venue is limited, so the concert is currently almost sold out. Last year, the work of Gerald Scarfe, the world-famous British icon of social and political caricature - and collaborator with Pink Floyd for various 1970s projects most notably The Wall, and Roger's Pros and Cons - had its Czech premiere at the Egon Schiele Art Centrum in Český Krumlov.
The exhibition of more than 100 large-format drawings and watercolours closed in October 2012, but some great news for our Czech friends: the exhibition is opening at the beautiful Kampa Museum in Prague tomorrow, June 7th 2013 and will run there for some three months. The Museum is situated on the eastern bank of the Kampa Island on the River Vltava.
Assuming the exhibition transfers in its entirety from its Krumlov staging, it should offer the following:
- political and social commentary and caricatures of British and
world politicians, the Royal Family, but also Czechoslovak politicians
from 1969
- cartoons of showbusiness personalities (Woody Allen, Mick Jagger, Madonna...)
- set and costume design for the English National Opera (Orpheus in the Underworld)
- album artwork for the Pink Floyd album The Wall - and the new exhibition poster shows The Teacher (looking a little more like Scarfe
than we've seen previously) to hint at the contents of the show
- designs for the Walt Disney film Hercules (Scarfe was the first outside designer to work with the studio since Salvador Dalí!)
- creation of the title sequence for the Yes Minister series which appeared on BBC television
For more information on the exhibition, and the venue, visit www.museumkampa.cz. Our thanks to Vlado Marcinek for the information.

A new offer has been announced on Pink Floyd's official website: if you have purchased any version of The Dark Side Of The Moon on CD or if you purchased the 2011 remaster at iTunes or on vinyl, you can now unlock a free download of Money (Roger Waters Demo) – previously only available in the Immersion Box Set.
To access the bonus area, visit www.pinkfloyd.com/bonus and follow the on-screen instructions. You'll either need to insert the CD (and it can be any official version that has been released over the years), go to iTunes if you downloaded it, or, if you are an owner of the 2011 vinyl, there was a paper insert with a code on it...
